In Akaroa we have an Australian Bottle Brush tree. The flowers form seed heads, which stick onto the branches. The following year the same thing happens, so you often see several "generations" of seeds on the one branch. The birds love this tree, especially the little wax eyes, which bury their heads into the red flowers as thy hunt for nectar. The little seeds are tiny, about 2-3mm across. This image was made with my iPad and processed with Snapseed, because I forgot to take my card reader or a download cable, grrrrr. However, the best camera is always the one you have with you, one that works and doesn't need a download cable!
Each week I'll publish a new image as part of a joint Project 52, with my friend in the USA. We both make an image every week, and send them to each other. We are now in the 2nd year of this project. We find it challenging, stimulating and fun. Life should be fun.
