This week I’m in the sewing cupboard again, and have chosen a beaded pocket to photograph. I bought a pair of pockets years ago and always intended to make a blouse and attach them, but it didn't happen. They are quite lovely, so I really should have done something with them. I’ve used my 50mm macro, after trying with my Lensbaby and not liking the results at all. I like the slightly wider DOF, f8 in this, as I would usually open this lens wider for a narrow DOF. Here I wanted to be able to see the beads and some of the rest of the braiding, so f8 is was.
Each week I'll publish a new image as part of a joint Project 52, with my friend in the USA. We both make an image every week, and send them to each other. We are now in the 2nd year of this project. We find it challenging, stimulating and fun. Life should be fun.
