My image this week is the cherry blossom tree, which is now in full bloom and really lovely. It came out last week. Yesterday we had a huge nor’wester. Trees down, power outages, and fires started by power lines sparking grass. We were in out of town and missed it.. Driving back to Christchurch, we got to Birdling’s Flat and could see the dust storm coming. The cherry blossom was just out so we feared the worst, that the flowers would be all over the garden when we got home, but it survived and this afternoon I made a photo of the blossoms. We love this tree as it is so attractive in all seasons. When we planted it we didn’t imagine it would ever grow to the height it is now. We thought we would always look down on it from the living room windows. Not so, we look into it.
Each week I'll publish a new image as part of a joint Project 52, with my friend in the USA. We both make an image every week, and send them to each other. We are now in the 2nd year of this project. We find it challenging, stimulating and fun. Life should be fun.
