This week’s image is really just a play with the word “time”. The typewriter belongs to my mother, but it has lived here for years. Mum used to type all Dad’s invoices when he was in business. It is a heavy beast. What a job it was to type just these few words, forcing the keys down! Those touch typists in offices everywhere pre computers, must have had fingers with callouses on the tips and amazingly strong finger and hand muscles. They would have thought we are very tame nowadays with our soft touch keyboards. They could type at a very fast rate too, and the typing had to be 100% accurate, or it had to be redone. I like the look of the old font. I’ve deliberately processed the image to look soft, and with low contrast, to add to the feeling of age and time.
Each week I'll publish a new image as part of a joint Project 52, with my friend in the USA. We both make an image every week, and send them to each other. We are now in the 2nd year of this project. We find it challenging, stimulating and fun. Life should be fun.
