My image this week is not really a tunnel, but a plate with a spiral pattern, held against the light and photographed. After some contrast adjustments I then used the threshold slider to further enhance the B&W. The plate is one I bought recently for a food styling prop. It is gold in colour, was made in Turkey, and found its way to New Zealand. Minor White’s quote, the one I am so fond of, “One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are.” is perfect for this. A flat plate, about 30 cms in diameter, could be a tunnel too. Is that too much of a stretch? Not for me!
Each week I'll publish a new image as part of a joint Project 52, with my friend in the USA. We both make an image every week, and send them to each other. We are now in the 2nd year of this project. We find it challenging, stimulating and fun. Life should be fun.
