I knew what I wanted for this week but time was not on my side on a sunny day. Sun was needed because I wanted to accentuate the signage with the shadows of the letters on the exterior face of the building. I have a thing for shadows. Supreme is a brand of coffee and they have a cafe in Welles Street, near to Smiths City in Christchurch. The cafe is in an ordinary looking concrete block building, but I’ve fiddled with the levels slider to bring up the whites and reduce the shadows to remove the outlines of the blocks, making the image cleaner and more graphic - well, I think it is. The coffee was very nice.
Each week I'll publish a new image as part of a joint Project 52, with my friend in the USA. We both make an image every week, and send them to each other. We are now in the 2nd year of this project. We find it challenging, stimulating and fun. Life should be fun.
